Dream achieved....hot air balloon

It was just a tethered ride but it was still fun and I loved seeing the balloon.  They are so beautiful! Maybe someday I can take an actual ride in one.

Enjoying the trees in bloom

Spring is showing up in Louisiana and the trees are starting to bloom everywhere. It is absolutely beautiful! That reminds me that someday I hope to have my land landscaped in a way that I can sit outside and enjoy it. I want to have trails cut through the acres and keep them managed so I can go on walks in the woods for exercise. I want to be able to have some type of surface on the paths for when I am old and unable to walk and need to use my electric wheelchair so that I can still go out into the woods and enjoy nature. More to come..............

So many names with the same meaning...............

I have been watching The Buried Life on MTV.  It is a really great show about these 4 guys that are travelling around and marking things off their list of things to do before they die.  In the process, they also learn what someone else wants to do before they die and help make that person's dream come true.  I find it very impressive and heartwarming.  If you haven't seen it and want some more information on it, you can check it out at http://theburiedlife.com/blog/
I am hoping to make this blog into my "list" whatever name you want to call it (the buried life, the bucket list, etc.) then I want to whiddle away at the list and try to accomplish as many of my hopes and dreams as possible in my lifetime.  The funny thing is, I think as you work things off the list, you will always find ways to add more things to take those things places on the list. It will be a learning experience - such is life.

Starting my books to read list (this will be long & continuous over time)

                                                                                                 
I never seem to have enough time to read all the books that I would like to read but I like to keep track of  them just in case there is a time in the future when I am laid up and need some entertainment. It would be nice to have a list of wonderful books to read if that time comes. I have lists everywhere on scraps of paper but they drive me crazy because they are loose and all over and it will be so nice to get them all in one place :-)

Dreams come big and small............

When I think of things I want, they randomly run through my head and range from the smallest things to the biggest things.  I think that is pretty normal (or at least I hope it is!).  So here are some of my hopes and dreams from today:

• to be debt free
• to build a house on my property
• to landscape/pave my property where it is pretty and enjoyable
• IPHONE
• Nook or somthing along those lines

In return for the blessing of being able to have hopes and dreams, here are somethings I am grateful for:

• God
• Family
• Friends
• that I have a roof over my head, clothes on my back, food to eat, and a car to drive
• my health

As usual it is too late on a work night so I am off to bed!

Dream board

Over the years, I have heard about people making dream boards.  On these boards, they would put all the things they want out of life and the board would be a reminder of their goals.  I started a dream board for myself not too long ago but after an unfortunate incident with my cats who found the bulletin board very tempting as a scratching board, I was without my dream board. So in an effort to keep myself focused on my hopes and dreams, I thought I would start this little blog where I can add to it as things come to mind.  It will also be safer from my cats :-)  Since tonight is a Lost night, I am up pretty late and have an early morning tomorrow so I need to get to bed soon but I wanted to get this started and out of my head.  Right now my first hope and dream would be to have a job that I love to get up and go to everyday. Of course in the ultimate dream, I would be independently wealthy and wouldn't have to work at all and that would go a long way to making all the other hopes and dreams come true.  Well, off to bed, more to come...................
